About LightBender FX

LightBender FX is a digital effects company specializing in the artful infusion of visual effects into Web, Web Video, film, television, and DVD environments. It focuses on complete integration of stylized visual elements with audio effects, creative script writing and music.

Founded by Mark Smith, a veteran of more than 15 years in the entertainment/media fields, LightBender FX is a reflection of Mark’s background in broadcast journalism, graphic design, writing and advertising. He has worked as a writer/producer for 20th Century Fox, re-invigorating their historical newsreel archive, Fox Movietone News. Mark served as Director of Advertising for Vail Ski Resorts (their retail division, Specialty Sports Venture, LLC). In addition, Mark ran Huntington Creative Services in Los Angeles, which focused on graphic design.

LightBender FX works with several talented musicians in an effort to fuse original musical scores and elements that accompany these unique special effects and full video productions.

HGB studios is located in Issaquah, Washington, and was founded by two talented musicians, Paul and Robin Holland. They can provide a wide array of instrumentation and scoring for your production.
